An Advent Prayer

An Advent Prayer…
++++++++++++++
OUR FATHER, Christ crucified, who with Your Father is our Everlasting Father, and

WHO ART IN HEAVEN, now and always—even when Your hands were nailed to the cursed cross—to You we pray as well. O Christ crucified,

HALLOWED BE THY NAME, the very name that people cursed and mocked in Your hour of deepest humiliation. O crucified Savior,

THY KINGDOM COME, just as the thief on the cross prayed, “Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Remember us, and reign in our hearts from the cross. Lord Jesus, crucified for us,

THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, just as You controlled the sun, the stars, and everything during those hours of darkness. May Your good and gracious will be done in me and throughout every area of my life. O Christ crucified, who cried out, “I thirst,”

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD. Your hands that fed thousands will not be stopped by nails from providing everything we need.

AND, Christ crucified, FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES, even as You forgave those who tortured You, because it was for our forgiveness that You surrendered Yourself into their hands,

AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US. Help us, whenever others hurt or offend us, to remember You hanging there, suffering and bleeding for us.

AND, dear Jesus, crucified, LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION. You are our one true Friend, who will always guide us correctly and call us back when we wander like sheep, protecting us from the devil’s power.

BUT, O Crucified, DELIVER US FROM EVIL, just as You saved us from sin through Your agony and bloody death. Deliver us now from every evil deed, from the serpent of hell’s power, and from an evil death.

FOR THINE, Christ crucified, IS THE KINGDOM. Your crown was made of thorns, yet You rule over all things forever,

AND Yours, Christ crucified, is THE POWER, and nothing can stop You from performing Your marvelous works,

AND Yours, Christ crucified, THE GLORY for our redemption and for every good thing we receive, all because You gave Yourself for us.

FOREVER AND EVER, because the saving power of Your cross lasts forever, and You will be with us until the end of the world.

AMEN. Your cross has made it certain.

God of Mercy, God of Grace

God of Mercy, God of Grace!

I need you like the morning dew that kisses the earth!

See my tears and hear my heart as I pour out my anguish and despair!

Give me a peace of mind, that comes from only You.

For I know that the enemy has been in my home; lying & scheming to destroy me!

The enemy is working to destroy,
Where You called me to be!

God of Mercy, God of Grace
Fight for me
And
Be my Redemeer!

This is my prayer!

Do We Have An Angry God?

“Those who deny God’s anger and wrath, well… they are drunk on their devised cocktails of squishy-tolerances-laced with perverted love. They are so drunk on their imaginary versions of god that they fail to realize that we have offended God with our sins and that He would be completely fair in giving us temporal and eternal punishments. Indeed, if God were to smite all of mankind to hell, He would be morally just in doing so, for it is what we deserve. Please let all of this sink in. If it makes you uncomfortable – good. If this makes you unsettled – good. If you don’t like to hear about God’s anger – good. If this sounds politically incorrect – good. Hearing about God’s anger should have the effect of causing you discomfort. If it does not cause you discomfort, then what I am about to tell you will not make any sense. If you do not comprehend the anger of God, you will not be able to appreciate and rejoice in the cross of Christ.”

What is the Greater Miracle that Jesus spoke of?

The Greater Miracle that Jesus spoke of in John 14: 12-14

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

— John 14:12-14

Is about Pastors preaching The Word and Laypeople sharing the Gospel:

Jesus & Him Crucified and being Raised from the Dead. Then watching God & Jesus/the Word transforming unbelievers from the children of Satan to Children of God!

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”

— John 3:16-21

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;

— 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

— 1 John 2:1-2
